Council Meetings

 Schedule of meetings 2024-25

The Parish Council year runs from April to March.

All meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month, on alternate months.

This year’s meeting dates are:

• Wednesday 17 July 2024
• Wednesday 18 September 2024
• Wednesday 20 November 2024
• Wednesday 15 January 2025
• Wednesday 19 March 2025
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 (Annual Meeting) 

All meetings start at 7.30pm except the Annual Council Meeting which may be preceded by two Annual Parish Meetings which will start at 7pm.  More details will be provided closer to the date.  The Annual Council Meeting will start once the Parish meetings are completed.

Location

Typically the May, July & September meetings are held in Stoke Prior Village Hall and the November, January & March meetings are held in Risbury Village Hall.  However, for various reasons this arrangement does not always hold and the agenda for a specific meeting should be checked for the correct location.

Meetings, minutes and agendas for 2024-2025

Minutes are approved and signed by the Chairman at the next meeting. Until approved, they will be marked “Draft – subject to confirmation”. Signed copies of the minutes published on this website are kept in the official minute book, and may be inspected on application to the Clerk.

Annual Parish Meetings

All the electors of the Parish meet at least annually to receive reports from community groups and discuss any matters of local importance.

The Annual Parish Meetings are meetings of all registered electors for each parish required by law between 1 March and 1 June. They are not Group Parish Council meetings (although the Chairman of the Council will call the meeting and must preside if present).

All electors of the parishes are entitled to attend, speak and vote on any matter, and are welcome to suggest items for the agenda. Other members of the public may also attend.

Further Parish Meetings may be convened by the Chairman of the Council, any two councillors or any six electors. A Parish Meeting may make recommendations to the Council, which the Council will then consider.
