Stoke Prior Primary School, helping our children to be Successful and Proud.

Stoke Prior Primary School is a small school based at the heart of the Stoke Prior and surrounding communities. It is situated in open countryside with spacious grounds. These contain a wildlife conservation area, an adventure play area, a playing field and a hard surface play area. The school is thriving with good numbers a vibrant and enthusiastic governing body and team of staff that offer pupils a safe environment to learn and grow. The school is a member of the Three Counties Academy Trust, a small trust with the support of village schools at the heart of its ethos.

The school itself has mixed age classes and the curriculum is carefully planned accordingly. We have 4 classes, taught by our highly experienced teachers, and supported by teaching assistants.

There is a very active and enthusiastic PTFA, who organise fundraising for the school and lots of fun events for the children. We have a late Summer Fete in September, a Christmas party for the children in school, Easter bingo and a leavers BBQ, amongst others. Fundraising proceeds have given the children a new adventure playground and iPads for the classroom in recent years.

As a school we take part in local events, including, Leominster in Bloom, Hereford Performing Arts, Football and Rugby tournaments and Hereford school games. We have a Platinum Games Award.

Our children have the opportunity to take part in educational school trips throughout the year, and our older children (year 5 & 6) have a residential activity trip. All children from year 1-6 have swimming lessons. There are music teachers who come to school to give lessons, and a choir in school.

The school runs a breakfast club to provide childcare for children prior to the start of the school day. There are afterschool extra-curricular clubs, including a gardening club, art club and a number of sports clubs.

The school is part of the Three Counties Academy Trust, and benefits from collaboration with other primary schools in the locality.
